What’s the controversy? Well, let me put it as simply as possible: We have a magazine that is designated for black women. Featured on the cover, we have a black male athlete who’s adored by many black female readers of this magazine, but this black male athlete is currently in a relationship with a white woman. So I ask, what does this black male athlete have in common with a group of women he most likely never intends to date or marry? Reggie Bush being on the cover of Essence Magazine is like Rush Limbaugh joining the Nation of Islam…he has no place there.

WOW! I can’t believe the up roar over this Bush is 1 of the Finest MEN walkin I’m elated that he is on d Cover! Every1 gives this Guy a hard time. He is never n d media causing trouble or being stupid n His team is having d Best Year EVER, I think he was a great choice! All d people complaing sound like ANgry black women! I am Black and I have met Reggie BUSH a few times @ d games n he was very nice and respectable! N looked n my legs jus like all d Other Men! I said that 2 say I don’t think he has a problem with Black Women!
