Swizz Beatz Owes $653K in Back Taxes

A couple of months ago, super producer/rapper Swizz Beatz was facing media scrutiny after allegedly falling behind in paying child support to his ex wife Mashonda. And now, it appears that he owes someone else: Uncle Sam, also known as the IRS! Yep, apparently Swizzy owes the IRS about $652,727 in unpaid taxes from back in 2008. The IRS reportedly filed the complaint on June 3rd.

And to make matters even worse, Swizz has been hit with a tax lien, which could potentially mean that the feds can liteally take his assets if he fails to pay this amount. On top of this all, we hear that Swizz and his ex-wife, Mashona still owe over $2 million in taxes in several states including California.

Swizz Beatz’ attorney had this to say:

“We have been discussing the issue with the government for years and are currently negotiating an amicable resolution of the dispute,”

Hopefully Swizz is able to fix this before he hops the broom with his boo, Alicia Keys. It’s definitely not a good look to have financial issues from an old marriage right before you get into a new marriage…
