Jermaine Dupri takes a break from being a label honcho to record and release a new mixtape, I Think I’m Berry Gordy. Named after the legendary Motown founder and the freestyle J.D. recorded over Rick Ross’ “B.M.F.,” the DJ Holiday-hosted collection of tracks sees the ATLien stepping into the booth to rhyme over instrumentals including Kanye West’s “POWER,” Rawse’s “MC Hammer,” and Chris Brown’s “Deuces.”
He only enlists one guest artist—singer-songwriter Johntá Austin—to lend his vocal talents to “Take Me Away,” where he reflects on the past. Feed your hard drive with 10 new So So Def tunes below.
