I’ve been debating whether or not I wanted to share this with the public at large, but as time passes and I continue to stick to my guns I figured I’d share.  What finally made me want to share this was a conversation I had with a friend of mine as well as the reactions I got from males once they heard about it, so here goes nothing.  First of all it’s very unfortunate that people assume that because I know some pro athletes and celebrities that I’m “Getting It In”, when that could be further from the truth, when in all actuality I haven’t had sex in 8months!  Now once an individual comes across this information the first thing they do (men and women) is give me a screw face and react in one of the following ways:

“Why”

“I know you got a B.O.B (Battery Operated Boyfriend)….I dnt actually have one”

“Why would you want to do that”……and so on

So on to my conversation, during the conversation my friend was surprised that I still hadn’t “gotten any”.  I then informed him that I felt like if I had waited this long then why just give it up to just anybody now, never have been like that.  He then went on to say that he hated how women don’t want to be valued based on their vagina yet we pretend like our “pussy is gold” to which I explained the following.

I don’t by any means believe that my reproductive organs define who I am from my breasts, to my behind, my thighs and even my vagina, none of these things define who I am.  Since I have them and I realize my worth includes far more than the physical, I decide to be selective with whom I let into my body.  Sex makes situations that should be cut and dry more complicated than what they need to be.  I see people around me in situations that without sex would not be a big deal and they are my motivation. When you  think out of lust and in the moment you make decisions that have you questioning yourself at the end of the day.  I’ve had some VERY close calls, I had to analyze each situation and came to the conclusion  that it was not a healthy choice, and after I looked back I knew I had done the right thing.  Sex is an intimate experience to share with someone you at least like, why not try to get to know as much information about someone as possible before you sleep together?  Rushing into sexual relationships can seriously harm the foundation of any relationship that may have been able to grow had you not slept together.  When the only thing you look forward to is sex with someone that makes you disposable, what is there to offer other than sex?  Any woman can sleep with a man.  I just figure that when I do decide to let someone in, to do the best I can to get to know the person first, does this mean we have to be boyfriend and girlfriend? No…but I at least at the end of the day want to  foster a relationship that has the potential to be great and long term.  Sex too soon blurs your vision…..especially if its good lol!  I want someone who appreciates the fact that I value my body mind and soul and that I’m not having sex just to do it,  but that I’m  fostering a relationship that is already built…IDK maybe it’s just me.  Bottom line is there are alot of options and alot of men are “READY” to pound something out lol!  Not to say some women aren’t but that’s not the focus of this post!  LOL

I’m selective because I can be….

As a single brother, my crib had the bare necessities. A woman came by one day and slowly started to upgrade my stuff in a very subtle but profound way because no woman had ever done it before. If a man doesn’t have to respect you, he won’t. I tell people all the time, if my wife would allow me to have a girlfriend I would, and I go to church every Sunday. A man is not going to do the right thing unless he knows that if he does the wrong thing it will be met with repercussions and consequences.

Be His Biggest Fan
Women need love. Men need their egos stroked. We need your support, your encouragement, and we need to know that you believe in us. Tell him that he is a good man, that you are lucky to have him, that he is special and better than you thought. If he doesn’t feel like a man, he is not going to be a good man to you.

Nurture Him
The art of nurturing a man has been lost. Talk sweet to your man and whisper sweet nothings in his ear. Hug him, hold him, squeeze him too. Being a Black man is hard but with the nurturing of a good Black woman, it’s that much easier.

Men talk and our number one conversation is about sex. So when a man is rapping with his friend he needs a good story to tell. Although we’re told over and over again that most women do not orgasm during sexual intercourse, the sense of feeling inferior to the women who report explosive “Ohs and Ahs” mid-coitus is all too familiar. Well here’s a little information that might stop us from thinking so negatively. A recent research study found that the G-spot–that little patch of pleasure that we’ve all been encouraged to find for years–might not even exist.

According to BBC a project published in the “Journal of Sexual Medicine”, which studied 1,800 women revealed that “the G spot may be a figment of women’s imagination, encouraged by magazines and sex therapist.”

Researchers chose pairs of identical and non-identical twins and asked them if they had a G-spot.

“If one did exist, it would be expected that both identical twins, who have the same genes, would report having one.”

“But this pattern did not emerge and the identical twins were no more likely to share a G-spot than non-identical twins who share only half of their genes,” the BBC article read.

Sexologist and G-spot advocate Beverly Whipple said the study was flawed, failing to recognize different “love-making techniques” and the “experiences of lesbian and bisexual women”

However, some sex experts have already suggested that many women do not have this G-spot inside of their vaginas and it is general knowledge that most (and maybe all) orgasms are reached through clitoral stimulation.

Admittedly it does seem odd that women would have two points within their sexual organs that deliver the big “O” when men only have one.

“This is by far the biggest study every carried out and shows fairly conclusively that the idea of the G-Spot is subjective,” Tim Spector, Co-author of the study, said.

While we’re sure this study will not be last word on the G-spot topic, it helps to battle the idea that there’s something wrong with us if we can’t have a vaginal orgasm. -Essence

We are all familiar with the “baby mama” stereotype that is often placed on black women. Loud, obnoxious, unreasonable, spiteful. And if a man has more than one? Of course, that is pure drama. But does it always have to be this way? It would be better for our community if so many children weren’t born out of wedlock but life happens. Rapper Lil Wayne has made headline news this year for just as much of his personal life as he has his professional life. And whether you love or hate his music, he is definitely a family man. He has had three children in a very short time frame with three very different women. He also has a child from a previous marriage. That brings him to a total of four children, with four different mothers. But out of all the drama he has had this year, can you think of one time where the mothers of his children have been an issue? Shady text messages haven’t been released, crazy e-mails haven’t been released, and there have been no domestic abuse 911 calls or incidents.

In some sort of way, all four of the women have managed to put aside their feelings and differences for the sake of their children. Last night on their twitter pages, Lauren London and Antonia Carter shared tweets about their Christmas evening, Antonia stating how her daughter was “loving her little brothers”. So clearly black women can get along with each other under what may appear difficult circumstances. And luckily Wayne is able to provide for all of his children. We should take this as a lesson that as Black women it’s time to grow up and become mature when we are placed in these certain situations. Okay, it didn’t work out with you and he’s moved on. But the child and their happiness and well being should always come first. Allow the man to be the father that he needs to be and stop holding on to past pains from failed relationships. It will work out better in the long run. A woman should exemplify class, dignity, respect, and a nurturing spirit.
