Been hesitating on adding some spice to your marriage or you just don’t understand the purpose of date night? Your spouse may have decided to search for what’s missing elsewhere. Keep reading for a few tell-tale signs that will clue you in on whether your spouse may be cheating:

No longer needy

Formally clingy and needy, a husband who displays sudden independence might have had his needs for attention satisfied elsewhere. Remember how his lack of responsibility used to wear you out. Then, consider how he now takes long motorcycle rides with ‘the boys’ on beautiful weekends when he used to relish following you to the laundry, grocery store, outlet mall. It might be worth taking a look at who is in this bike, car or sports club.

No more anger

Did your wife used to get angry when you couldn’t meet her for lunch or commit your Saturday for you both to take the dog to the vet? But, now a no-go gets a polite kiss on the cheek with a sly, “No problem, dear. Maybe next time.” Maybe you just gave her an excuse for a few lost hours with her new lover.

New unidentifiable friends

New book club, new prayer group, new movie club? Do they meet all over town, never at the same location? If asked where this prayer group meets the reply is “Oh, ummm, Church of the…mumble, mumble, mumble.” Well, who do I know who’s in it? “Well, you know … what’s her name and … Wow! Look at the time — I better get going!” Sound familiar? You’ve got problems.

Shower? Really? Really.

The cell gets more protection than your children or retirement assets. If you even look at the phone, your husband deftly removes it from view and places it in his pocket, desk drawer, or locks it in the console of his car. Or, discovering that odd ringing sound is a poorly hidden extra cell phone you didn’t know she had. Don’t recognize the number? You aren’t supposed to.

Way Too Much Attention

Attention is great for lots of reasons. But, if it borders on over-kill, your spouse might be feeling guilty about something. Perhaps they haven’t crossed that line, but they could be giving it serious consideration. You’ll know when they cross the line: the attention will likely turn into fault-finding or criticism aimed at you because they will have another warm, intimate body to compare you to.

Stepping Up the A-Game

Trips to the salon used to be an unjustifiable expense except at Easter. But, now she has a weekly standing appointment with Mr. Dwight. And, you don’t remember her wearing panties so sexy on your honeymoon and now she and her ‘butt-wisps’ float out the door every morning. It’s time for some serious analysis about what has occurred in the relationship. By the same measure, if you remember chuckling when your husband wore pajama bottoms to pick up a gallon of milk and a jar of mayo from the supermarket, but that’s no longer the case, think about where this wardrobe paradigm shifted. Suddenly, he’s Mr. Ralph Lauren Purple Label walking in the door with bag after bag of new rags. There’s a woman somewhere advising him on how the $200 turtleneck sets his eyes off beautifully.

What a way to end the year and start the year!

Friday (12-30-11) was LeBron James’ 27th birthday and on Saturday, New Year’s eve, the NBA superstar threw himself a party and also used the occasion to propose to longtime girlfriend Savannah Brinson.

And the answer to what you’re thinking is … yes, she said YES.

“Happy for my brother @KingJames and sis @SavannahRB on their engagement!!! Extremely happy for them and the good times to come,” Clippers point guard Chris Paul tweeted.

If you don’t know their history, James and Brinson have been dating since high school. They have two boys together – LeBron Jr., who is seven, and Bryce, who is four.

Michael Jordan is officially off the market, again.

The NBA legend is reportedly engaged to longtime girlfriend and Cuban-born model Yvette Prieto. The couple has been dating for more than three years.

A Jordan spokeswoman first confirmed the news to WCNC in Charlotte, NC, that he popped the question on Christmas. Prieto is 32 years old, while Jordan is 48.

This would be Jordan’s second marriage.

He was married for 17 years to Juanita Jordan, but the couple divorced in 2006, and settled for a reported amount of $168 million. They have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine.

Jordan is the current owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, and can often be seen on the sideline of Bobcats games with Prieto.

There is no announcement for a wedding date.

Forced off the court due to the NBA lockout, Wade spent his first day in Sydney with his actress girlfriend Gabrielle Union today. The couple are in town until Wednesday night.

“It’s gorgeous here, we’re looking forward to having some sunshine over here,” Wade told thetelegraph.com.au.

The couple’s first port of call in Sydney was Hugo’s Manly where they savoured the sunshine over a long lunch.

Wade obliged the dozens of young fans who lined up for autographs and photographs overlooking Manly Wharf before the couple ducked into a waiting limo to take them back into the city ahead of a date at Janet Jackson’s concert at the Opera House tonight.

Wade earned in excess of $15 million last year as the Miami Heat’s guard, playing alongside NBA superstars LeBron James and Chris Bosh.

“Sydney I’m HERE….after leaving Miami on Friday night it’s now Sunday morning in Australia wow.”

Wade has replaced Michael Jordan as the VIP guest at a Gatorade launch in Sydney on Wednesday. It is an ironic swap. Jordan was forced to remain in the US due to the lockout but because Wade, like all players, is off the court until at least the end of this month he was able to take the spot.

Wade was reluctant to comment on the NBA drama, admitting only that he wants to be back playing with the Miami Heat “hopefully soon.”

Ameriie had only “1 Thing” on her mind this weekend. The R&B diva married her manager Lenny Nicholson in a private ceremony on Saturday on Anguilla in the British West Indies.

“This is such an exciting time for me. This is my first marriage and I am over the moon,” the 30-year-old singer told PEOPLE. “I look forward to a loving and enduring marriage. This day couldn’t come any sooner for me. I am beyond thrilled. I will remember this day forever.”

The beautiful bride was beaming in a Monique Lhullier gown with a cathedral train, baby blue Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals, and jewelry by Rafaello & Co., styling her hair in an edgy up-do. The groom, a former Columbia Records A&R executive, opted for a Hugo Boss tuxedo.

With their family by their side, the couple exchanged vows at the luxurious Viceroy Anguilla. DJ Konflikt provided the evening’s soundtrack and guests were treated to a seven-tier seafoam green cake.

The newlyweds will spend their honeymoon in the resort’s plush Romance Villa, which boasts its own private beach.

The fight for same sex marriage in America has been a long and strenuous one with only a few states in our country allowing homosexual couples to legally get married. As of today, the state of New York as been added to that list as the sixth state in America to legalize same sex marriage, making it the largest state in our country where homosexuals can wed. According to the New York Times, the bill was approved with a 33 to 29 vote. Outside of the voting area stood a crowd of protesters chanting and waving signs that stated, “support traditional marriage” while those in favor of passing the bill held signs that stated, “Love is love, Vote Yes”.

The law will go into effect 30 days after Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signs the bill, allowing homosexual couples to legally get married by the middle of this summer.

This is a huge step toward equality for the gay community in New York- the place where the national gay rights movement was born, and with this weekend being “Gay Pride Weekend” in New York City, this couldn’t have happened at a better time.

President Barack Obama visited New York yesterday and addressed this issue. He explained to the gay community that having the right to get married would take time but stated,

“I believe that gay couples deserve the same legal rights as every other couple in this country”.

What do you think about gay marriage being legal in the state of New York?

Not every ex-darling of Kanye West’s wants to stack up on Twitter minions or become international blog fodder. Some enjoy the private life. But allow us to reintroduce you to Alexis Phifer, mother, fashion designer and former bride-to-be of Mr. West. Why haven’t you seen her face in about three years? Because she wanted it that way. VIBE caught up with Lex to talk life beyond the spotlights, her ex, his other ex, and if she’s worth remembering.

Even though you were making moves pre-spotlight, many folks were introduced to you via Kanye West. How have these last years been with less media attention?
I think after experiencing being with somebody that is a celebrity, it’s really nice to have your anonymity. I’m a mom so I would much rather be able to be out with my son and have nobody recognize me. I really think that’s a cool thing as opposed to doing red carpets or something like that, but only if it’s really pertaining to my line because that’s what I’m trying to sell… I’m not really trying to sell myself.

Guess we can assume there will never be an Alexis reality show?
(Laughs) I’ve been approached a few times… I don’t know, first and foremost I’m a mother and I just feel like it’s important to be represented a certain way and it’s a lot to put your image and the things you say, or how you’re perceived into someone else’s hand and I just haven’t been comfortable with that. Now if it was something like a documentary style, maybe. But I’m not interested in fighting with some girl or talking about my ex because those relationships are personal. I mean the album [808s & Heartbreak] was bad enough at first, but a TV show, I don’t know, it would have to be real tasteful.

True. Reality shows are very tempting though. It’s an easy thing to do for an extra check.
It is very tempting, but I’m also kind of shy, so I’d probably just be awkward honestly. It definitely is tempting, especially since I’m a designer and I need every check I can get because it’s so expensive to have a line. But God will order my footsteps, however that’s supposed to pan out, it will.

Another one of Kanye’s exes, Amber Rose, once went on the radio and said something to the effect of “You see Kanye’s other ex, he was with her for six years, took her the same places and no one even remembers her name now…” Did that sting?
I believe that you get what you want out of a situation and Kanye will tell you, that I didn’t [want that attention]. It’s weird. I’ll get on the red carpet and over-criticize myself. I don’t want that attention. She wanted that and that’s what she got out of it. But if I want to go to King magazine [Ed Note: This interview was conducted prior to Amber Rose's June 2011 King cover] right now and be in a sexy bathing suit I’m sure I’d generate some type of interest. It’s just the decisions you make that put you where you are. She is where she’s at because that’s where she wants to be and I’m where I’m at because that’s where I want to be also. I was kind of like “Girl please.” I just laughed that off, brushed that one right off my shoulders. She doesn’t really know what she’s saying, so I can’t even be mad at her. She doesn’t even know the half.

What was your reaction to seeing those two for the first time?
I think that at that point, you know sometimes you go through things and you’re like “I just want to do something different” and I think that’s what he was experiencing at that time so he just did something different. Not to say that she’s bad and I’m good, nothing like that, but that’s just what he wanted at that time.

If you had to give any type of advice to Amber since she’s now an infamous Kanye West ex, what you would tell her?
I have no comment on that. I just have no words for her. But I wish her luck in her future, everybody deserves somebody.

Has it been hard getting rid of that tag of being ‘Ye’s fiancée? Is that something you consciously wanted to rid yourself of?
No, it was just a part of my life, but I’m really confident in who I am and what it is I do. Anybody who meets me and gets to know me, I don’t think it would sway their decision either way on whether they like me or not. Either they will or they won’t.

Let’s put one more rumor to rest – did you ever have a gag order?
Hell no! Because seriously when Kanye and I first met he wasn’t as major as he is now and we were real friends, so how do I ask my friend who’s been there for so long and all of sudden be like ‘You can’t say this.’ Like no, I’m not doing that. He wouldn’t even ask.

Glad to hear. So how’s the love life now?
I’m happy, but I will not settle for less and I have whole list of what I want…

Is it a longass list like Chili’s?
(Laughs) I mean, you know, it’s not unrealistic.

I get it, you just don’t want to lower your standards.
Right. I feel like you get what you want out of something, so I’m not going to waste my time.

5. At times, the reason can be falling out of love. If your relationship has lost the spark, then there are chances that your man can look out for greener pastures to seek love. Men can easily fall out of love if the spark in a relationship is lost.

Though Monica and Shannon Brown are already married, they sent out 300 wedding invitations this week for their second ceremony. The first ceremony happened back in January in secret…with only their families in tow. The couple is now inviting family and friends to a fabulous wedding ceremony on July 9th where the couple will exchange vows again.

Monica and Shannon’s invites were designed by Sandi Spells Designs, of College Park. She spoke to V-103 saying,

“I would say this is probably the most extravagant I’ve created. Definitely the heaviest. I’ve used acrylic and fabric before, but this is all acrylic. And usually something like that takes a month. But when she called, I just had an idea for the whole project.”
